School Opening/Closing Times


• Supervision on yard begins at 8.40am. The boys are expected to be in their line, ready to be welcomed by their teacher at their respective times( 8.45am and 8.55am).

• No pupil should arrive later than their start time.

• Classes will end at 1.25pm, 2.25pm and 2.35pm. Parents who wish to have their children escorted home should make their own arrangements to have them met at the school gate and the person to escort them should be at the school gate no later than the school finish time as the school cannot accept responsibility for the child after that time.

Start and finish times:

  • Junior Infants to 2nd Class 8.45am-1.25pm/2.25pm
     

  • 3rd to 6th Class 8.55am – 2.35pm
     

  • *Junior Infants will start at 9.05am until 11.50am from Thursday, August 29th until Friday, September 6th. Full day resumes from Monday, September 9th(8.45am to 1.25pm)
     

  • **First Class will finish at 1.25pm from Thursday, August 29th until Friday, September 6th. Full day resumes from Monday, September 9th(8.45am to 2.25pm)

​​Johnstown Boys National School visitor car parking utilises the church carpark at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel – located on Churchview Road, close to the junction of Churchview Road with Watson Road.

N.B. The small car park – located in the school grounds – is strictly for use by JBNS teachers only.
