Cumann na mBunscoil

​

This year has been another hugely successful and enjoyable one for Cumann na mBunscoil in our school.

 

We were delighted to have two 6th class Gaelic football teams representing the school, with both teams showing tremendous dedication and commitment throughout the year. The boys trained extremely hard and their efforts certainly paid off, with one team reaching the quarter-final stages and the other enjoying a fantastic run all the way to the final in Croke Park. Although they were unfortunately just pipped at the post on the day, it was an incredible achievement and a wonderful experience for the boys to have the opportunity to play in such a famous stadium.

 

Our hurling teams have also been very active this year. The 4th Class boys took part in a very enjoyable Go-Games Tournament over the last number of weeks, while the 6th Class hurling team have now progressed to the quarter-final stage of their competition.

It has been fantastic to see such a large number of boys from 4th, 5th and 6th Class participating enthusiastically in Gaelic Games throughout the school year. Thank you to Mr Murphy, Ms Keane, Ms Byrne, Mr Kelly and Ms Marren for all their time and effort in coaching and supporting the boys throughout the year.
